Geoff Ridenour: Photographer
Geoff Ridenour is a travel and landscape photographer, and a good one at that. But don’t peg him down to one photographic genre; he has an entire series of fine art images that stretch the imagination. On location, he brings a vision that makes old photographic styles contemporary. In the studio, his compositions are thought provoking. His approach to photography appears to convey a thirst for showing the world how he sees it.
In his travel and landscape, he photographs the serine beauty of his location. Capturing all the colors of the landscape or the vastness of the scene. In the image below, the quiet calm of the night against the placid lake is broken by the safety of the tent.
His fine art images are moving. In a series he published online as he finished them, he photographed a house that was left in ruin, putting a story to the images as he worked. The images show in great detail what time has done to this building, while the story tells of the homes occupants departing in a hurry, and leaving the building with all their memories inside left to die.
Geoff’s vision in color and composition bring life to the images he creates. For Geoff, an image isn’t necessarily finished when it comes out of the camera. His images tend to take on a life of their own in a post-production process making every one of them a unique piece of art.

Hello, Neat post. There is an issue with your site in internet explorer, would test this… IE still is the market leader and a big portion of people will omit your fantastic writing because of this problem.
